10/16/2001 Entry: "10/16 Day 1 No Smoking"

Today is day 1 of no smoking. I had made the decision 2 weeks ago that I was going to quit today. I have been eating healthy and exercising every day so it's time. This is the first time I've wanted to quit for my health. My other 2 attempts were because I felt I should, not because I wanted to. All I got out of those attempts was 30 pounds. I'm not replacing ciggs. with food this time. If anything, I will exercise harder.

I had my weigh-in Monday and was down another 3 pounds. So that means I've lost 14 pounds since August 18 when I started exercising. The weight was coming off so slowly the first 6 weeks, but I know it's because I was building some muscle and tone. Now it's been coming off much more quickly. Yes, Bren, I did change the blue :ppp LOL. I did leave the blue on the landing though. It's actually looking pretty cool.

Last night I went to watch Shawn bowl again. The 2 girls I usually chat with had to leave right away so I really did watch Shawn bowl this time. It was still a good time. Afterwards, Shawn and the other 2 guys wanted to play cards (Dirty Clubs) but needed a 4th player. So I said, I'd be a warm body. I have been shown how to play a few times but do not get it. I am not a card player. But I played and had a good time and almost won. I'm learning!

Today I am going to finish up another blog template hopefully.

Brave girl! Quitting smoking is hard... I've come back many times, but if there's a will, there's a way! :) Good for you! It's good to keep our lungs -and our health in general- very clean.

Well done on stopping smoking. I know it's easy as I've done it dozens of times! ;�D Seriously though, I really hope you kick it.
